How is my son almost a year

really? He is 9mo old. almost 9.5 mo? He is getting his 5th and 6th tooth. Today he was so cheery though. Lately he's been so grouchy. He played a ton today and giggled alot and then was a patient soul when I went to TWO different stores to get pumpkin, really, Safeway didn't have pumpkin or maybe I just couldn't find it but after 45 min of looking I left a full cart and went to the tride and true Super Target. And here I thought I'd be nice and give Safeway some business cause they have been sending us "come back" coupons. Nope, after today no more.

It drizzled today and Cade enjoyed it. Everytime we got out of the car Cade would giggle at the sprinkles falling on his head! It's fall all ready this time last year I was dying of excitement to have him.

Anyone know if I can load pics from my iphone right to my blog like I can facebook?

Too Long

Oh my goodness why have I waited so long to post? I am now out of the baby fog, and am ready to start writing. Cade is crawling. Just started last week. The first thing he did...knocked a vase over, crawled through it and cut his hand. Shortly after he was half way out the doggie door about to slam his head in the pavement! Nest, he grabs a pop can and cuts his finger. First bandaid and first week of mommy freaking out. I don't think I was quite ready for the crawling stage but I am quickly learning. I will post lots of fun pictures soon!

Papa and Cade Grant

We went and saw Papa the other day at his store. It was so neat to go visit. Everyone there thought he was adorable, well of course he is, that's what I think! We wandered all around and Papa held him tight, a couple of gals were able to pry him from his arms but not for long! I know that Papa and Cade Grant (papa's namesake) will be the best of friends. Thanks Papa for being such a great daddy to me and such a great Papa all ready to your boy. The picture has a story behind it... We had fed Cade right when we got there. I knew he needed to burp but he holds it for 5-10-30 minutes or more. As soon as we handed Cade over to Papa he spit out his binki...so Papa tried to put it back in, well that wasn't the plan...Cade looked right at his Papa and belched LOUD!!! It was hilarious and for those of you that know boys, especially Sampier boys, know that such things are HILARIOUS in our house. So, being the photog that I am I snapped a great photo. Enjoy!

Finally I post!

Not sure why this one is sideways but it's one of my favorites he is wearing his dedication outfit

Snuggling my boy

Nikki and Adison (she was born 12/18) Michelle and Ryan (he was born in April, Ash's baby) and my and Cade. THey are all wearing I heart NY shirts from their Aunti Michelle that lives in NY

His teenie feet, well they are actually kinda large for a baby

Sleeping on his owl beanbag he got for Christmas, looks like he's smiling

My sister snuggling with him hours after he was born

Nakie Time!

My little peanut shell!
Coming home from the hospital in his hippo jacket

He's here and he's sleeping in my arms as I write this. He was born 11/30/08 9:40pm 8 lbs 3 oz. 21 inches. 2 weeks early and he was 8lbs :) I prayed that he would come early and he did, if God was ready if Cade was ready I was too. My prayers were answered and at 7:45 in the morning I started getting strong contractions and 14 hoursish he was born.

The name...well we didn't have it until Friday, he was born on Sunday! It was so tough to pick. We had lists we had tears and we arrived at Cade Grant Greener. At the time we picked I was battling baby blues so I wasn't sure it was right... now I am sure it is.

So I can blabber on about the labor but it's not as fun as talking about Cade! He's an "angel baby" if you have read "The Baby Whisperer" he cries only if he's desperate and it's only for food, oh wait, he hates baths too!

He is my sunshine and the love of my life. I will post lots of pictures... so you all can see. Sorry for taking so long I am still easing into being a mom and was surrounded by the Holidays as well. He's not hard but how do you get the house clean and entertain a baby? How do you do laundry, eat a meal and make sure he get's tummy time? Slowly but surely I am getting it down.

More to come hopefully it won't take 4 weeks again!

2 cent dialated & 50 % effaced!!!

Hey! I am so excited, I got the tree done, well the tree and a few animals and that's it. I would like to get a few more animals done but for now the squirrel, bird and owl will do. The owl is by far my fave. I am open to ideas on animals, I have a bunny fox, bees and more birds...any thoughts?

I took a pic of our really cool monitor. I got it as a wonderful gift from someone I can't name. It's a video monitor and seems to work pretty well. Jay went in the baby room and danced around making loud noises and I saw everything from our bedroom. I am really thankful for it, it seems really neat.

I also took a pic of my cute bookshelf I put up in the hall... Just to show that I am trying to accomplish something while off.

I also have sewn two swaddling blankets for the big boy. I really just bought some flannel at the 40x40 size (what the recommend for big babies and no one really sells it) and sewed the edges. But I feel crafty none the less.

Jay and I are planning on splurging and getting a camcorder for the wee one so we can document everything. I hoping for a great deal day after thanksgiving. I took pics of the neato diaper bag I got him alongside mine. He wasn't supposed to get it til I went into labor but nosy-nosykins saw it and asked about it today. It's packed ready for baby along with treats for him while I'm in labor like Mountain Dew Amps, granola bars, yummy almonds etc.

I put some cute animals up on the wall above the changing table, pics included but honestly it didn't turn out how I pictured. I am really on the hunt for some cutesy farm art that I can hang. Tractors animals etc. Above his crib I will do his name with a verse that I haven't decided on... I am thinking a verse from Samuel "for this boy I prayed" and then his name. Too bad he doesn't have a name cause my hubby and I can't agree to save our lives.

I also took pics of the birdie art (I originally bought for the nursery cause I was sure it was a girl!!!) that I hung in my upstairs bath. They are so cute they count to 10 and have different types of birds on them. I have an obsession with birds so I was thrilled when I could at least do one room with them in it. I was originally going to frame each one but I put those cutie little metal holes in them, pink and brown and tied white ribbon. I then found cute needles with yellow balls on the end and pushed those into the wall. Again, crafty for me...

That's it for now... OH wait no it's not!!! We had an ultrasound yesterday he's weighing in at 8.1 lbs so with 2 weeks left he could weigh up to 10.3 lbs according to Jay's math (which I trust) if he's that big a definite c-section is in order. Baby with broken clavicle (which could happen if I do vaginal) doesn't exactly sound appealing. I imagine cranky baby in a new world with broken bone, can't be good! But, they checked me yesterday and I am 2 cent dialated and 50% effaced all ready!!! That could mean a whole world of things but it could mean labor early. Which I am praying for. He's full term so no worries there and he's lighter so vaginal delivery!!! Last night I was having contractions every 10-12 minutes for 4 hours but they never got more rapid and eventually faded off to irregularity around 3 am. DANG IT! I hit the gym today and ran/walked on the eliptical. Anything to get things stirring.

I hope he's here soon and I'm not going to lie, it would be fun to have a November baby so he never gets mixed up with Christmas!

Maternity Leave

Well, here it is the moment I have been waiting for... 12 weeks off and more projects that I want to accomplish than I probably ever will. This weekend it just felt like vacation...Monday morning felt real. No more Monday morning meetings, no more drives to the tech center in the dark. It felt good. I spent the whole day cleaning. WOW can the house get messy. 3 dogs and a cat really does it in. I guess the constant flow of sawdust from Jay's busy saw doesn't help either.
The hardwood is almost done. It is peaking into the study, or third bedroom, as I sit here and type. Jay's office will be tough, it's a tad cluttered and full. I think we will work on it this weekend. Maybe the lifting will put me into labor. I wouldn't mind at all. I will be 37 weeks on Friday, considered full term, and I am ready. I am sure all the moms out there reading this are smiling to themselves thinking, ya, I wanted that too and it sure didn't happen. A girl can dream, and pray right?!
The baby is doing great. Another ultrasound at 38 weeks is needed to be sure he's not 10 lbs. If he is, hello c-section, they won't even let me try to have this guy vaginally. See, it's not totally selfish that I want him a tad early, the earlier, the lighter right?
Pictures, don't have any new, but this sight will be full of them once he comes. I am really excited and really scared at the same time. I know I can do it but my world is really about to change. No more lounging around for hours doing what I want to do when I want to do it, not that I lounge but I will probably feel like I did when I look back at these days. I am responsible for another life.
I am still organizing his room?! Where to put the tiny socks and hats and bibs and binkis and...
I am also working on a tree to put on the wall made out of felt. I think I will do that today. I will take pics and let you all know how crafty I want to be and how crafty it may turn out not to be.
Here's to no more working and to lots of projects!

Closet somewhat starting to be organized, didn't Jay do a good job on the shelves?
Crib and you can see the changing table, which is in process

So here is the beginnings of the nursery. The walls are a light blue. We painted them dark blue and hated it so spent way too much time changing it to light. The chair isn't up nor is anything on the walls. So...as said before I will get more pics as progress goes on!
